Sheikh Ali Dere the director of the ministry of religion in the Somali federal government announced today that no Edul-fitri prayers can be performed unless there is go ahead from this department.
In a press conference the Sheikh said that it is an order from the ministry that he belongs to. No Eid congregational prayers can be said unless officially permitted.
The Sheikh also added that this mission will jointly be carried out by both the religion department and the security agency. Sheikh Dere said that who ever does not abide by the law will face the consequence.
He said that people should not contradict the Eid festival and he also added that they will consult the leaders of the mosques.
